Best Places To Play Pokemon Go: Top Cities USA

Where are the Best Places to Play Pokemon Go In Each US City?

Unless you have been living under a rock, chances are you have heard about Pokemon Go. The new smash-hit mobile phone title has taken the globe by storm, topping the charts at both Google Play and iTunes. The game itself requires players to explore real world locations, to search for the adorable digital creatures and has attracted fans from every demographic. It’s funny really, you are almost as likely to see a grown woman in a business suit shooting PokeBalls in the street, as you are a group of teenagers. This unprecedented surge in popularity, combined with the exploratory nature of the game, has seen players hunting in some quite bizarre locations.pokemon go phone

There have been reports of people catching Pokemon in just about every conceivable place. Some of the more amusing (if not a little creepy) ones include an adult store and graveyard. However, it’s important to remember that just because you’re hunting Pokemon in some pseudo-reality on your phone does not mean you are above the actual laws in your jurisdiction. Players should, therefore, be careful when hunting near private properties.

Another thing for an avid Pokemon trainer to consider is safety. Gamers should not need reminding that playing Pokemon whilst driving is a stupid (and illegal) idea, for example. Be wary when you are out hunting and stay away from potentially dangerous situations. So, Where Can I Play?

So after all that about safety and legality, you are probably wondering where are the best places to play Pokemon Go. Some simple understanding of how the game works will enable you to make an informed choice about where you should go hunting.

Understanding the GameFInding Pokemon Go Pokemon

It’s important to understand that Pokemon Go does not randomly generate Pokemon in the true sense of the word. It uses an algorithm that bases its spawning patterns on cellular activity in a given area. Basically, this means that the number of people using their phones in an area is proportionate to the number of Pokemon that will appear there. With that in mind some of the following list may seem quite obvious. Of course, Times Square makes a great place to catch some rare Pokemon, if you are in New York. While in Los Angeles, California, you do not want to miss a Pokemon GO experience at Disneyland.

Of course, many players will not be able to visit these locations. If your city isn’t listed, or if you do not live in the USA then just use the simple formula – More people = more Pokemon.  More Google photos of a place often = more Pokemon too.

Densely populated areas will always yield more Pokemon than areas with few people. If people are using their phones in a place (city park, town square etc.), then Niantic’s coding will ensure that Pokemon are spawning there.

You can always find two PokeStops close together and put a Lure Module on each and sit and wait for the Pokemon to come to you. Or create a loop of 10 lured up PokeStops within 1 KM and loop around to get lots of XP and Pokemon Monsters.

Happy hunting!
